Help Bring Timmy Home

Donation protected
UPDATE: Our hearts and minds are heavy as we share the news that Timmy’s liver failed and he passed peacefully on Friday, November 23. It provides comfort knowing that his Dad was there with him holding his hand and hugging him the whole way.

We are reaching out today to all our brothers and sisters for your assistance. Arrangements to celebrate his life are currently in progress. He is in Utah where he was transferred a few weeks ago to the University of Utah Hospital ICU. Right now our priority is to find a way to bring his body back to Louisiana so that we may gather in unity to celebrate his life.

Help us bring Timmy HOME!

We are all grieving. Our family is grieving; but, we continue to thank everyone for your constant love and support. Words cannot express our gratitude, and it is your strength that gives our family strength to push through these difficult times. Timmy’s legacy will forever be remembered by friends, family, and loved ones as his passionate and energetic approach to life touched and inspired so many over the years. It is our goal to make sure that everyone has a chance to honor his legacy.

ALL additional money raised will go directly towards supporting the family with funeral home costs to return Timmy to Louisiana followed by his memorial service soon after.

This is no doubt a difficult time for us all. We will get through this with Timmy as our guardian angel. He is not lost; we know exactly where he is watching over us all in his life’s journey. We hope you can join us in making sure he receives a proper sendoff on his way to new beginnings!

On October 26, 2018, a 4am phone call woke Tim and Cindy Hoke from a deep sleep at their home in Slidell, LA. The voice on the other end of the line was their son’s doctor at Summerlin Hospital Medical Center in Las Vegas calling to notify them that Timmy was non-responsive following a procedure to implant a pacemaker that would assist with his congestive heart failure (CHF).

The line went silent before Mom and Dad could digest what was happening. Why? The doctor rushed to revive Timothy Hoke, 44 years young and fighting for his life. In a race against time, Mom and Dad scrambled to grab what they could and hurry to the airport to begin the 1,700-mile trek to Summerlin with only the clothes on their back.

This page has been set up by the friends and family of Tim and Cindy Hoke to help cover some of their travel expenses, hotel accommodations and the rapidly accumulating costs associated with food and minimal clothing. The emotional burden of losing a son is something no parent should ever have to face. It is the least we can do to put our best foot forward and provide strength to help relieve some of the financial stress currently on their plate.

Our goal with this effort is to raise enough funds to support suffering parents so they can remain focused emotionally and physically on caring for their son. Tomorrow is not promised. There is no end in sight. The situation is still ongoing as Timmy remains in a medically induced state; but, we know he’s listening and can hear us.

We believe our world is kind. Grace and compassion guides us all. And it is our faith in community and love for others that gives us hope during these darkest of times.

Please…in no way should you feel any obligation to contribute and do so only if it also helps give you hope in humanity. The funds collected through this platform will help Tim and Cindy Hoke stay by their son’s side until he wakes up from his dream. Most importantly, it will provide a measure of comfort and financial support in a time of uncertainty. No one knows what tomorrow will bring. Today, we kindly ask for your support.

Nearly 5 million Americans are currently living with congestive heart failure (CHF). Approximately 550,000 new cases are diagnosed in the U.S. each year. Timmy is just one of them. When Timmy does come back to us, his fight is just beginning as he awaits a heart transplant. There is a long road ahead. Your kindness today will directly support Tim and Cindy Hoke as they begin their journey of 1,700 miles with one single step.

The Hoke family would like to thank everyone for their love and support during this difficult time.
