Mari Shaw is 24 years old. She is a 2017 graduate of Spa Catholic and Clarkson University. Mari is in a hospital in Orlando, Florida on life support. She was brought to the emergency room several days ago. Upon arrival her blood pressure crashed and she was intubated and air lifted to Orlando Regional Hospital. She is in liver and kidney failure. A large clot was discovered in the major artery going to the liver. Therefore her liver is not getting any blood supply causing it to fail. Her condition is critical as she is not strong enough for surgery at this time and she is unable to tolerate the blood thinners as she begins to bleed and they have to stop them. The doctors are strongly feeling she will need a liver transplant. Mari does not have any medical insurance. Please if there is anything you can do to help. Even if it is not monetary please just send prayers. I will be keeping you updated periodically on her condition on this site. Thank you for all the love and support. She is a true fighter.

UPDATE 1/28/24:

Today sedation has been reduced. They are waiting to see how she responds. Hoping she wakes up and starts to respond. No change in her kidney and liver function yet. The goal for the day is to get her off the vent. Michelle sounds exhausted.
