A little help from Sharyn's friends
Donation protected
As many of you would now be aware, my beautiful sister Sharyn was diagnosed with breast cancer last month. Treatment has commenced, and "we're" on our way to recovery :)
Unfortunately this means she's had to stop work effective immediately. Treating patients in a local GP clinic isn't the ideal environment for someone who's immunocompromised. Sick people everywhere.
While we have a time frame of 6 months for the required treatment, it's an open ended 6 months in that anything can change week to week. And surgery will most likely be the icing on the cake after all of the gamma rays have finished.
Ultimately we have no control over how this next 6 months (at the least) will be physically, emotionally, financially and logistically, but there are a few things we can try to do now to reduce the impact.
And one of the biggest challenges will be the financial aspect. Mortgage and bills need paid, children need fed and clothed, car needs to always be reliable, and life needs to continue on as normal as possible for not only Sharyn but her boys.
Times are very tough for many people I know but if you do have a couple of dollars here and there to spare, it would be greatly appreciated. And if you can't, a share of this page would mean just as much.
