I come to you today with a humble heart and a plea for support for someone very dear to me. My dad Chris Rosenke. His journey has been one of unwavering courage, battling majority of his life with Type 1 diabetes and asthma, and the devastating blow of kidney failure.
Nearly two decades ago, my dad was gifted a second chance at life through a life-saving kidney transplant. Yet, fate's hand dealt a cruel twist when his kidneys failed yet again, thrusting him into the unforgiving cycle of dialysis treatments over the past few years.
These past few months have been a rollercoaster of emotions though, with my dad navigating through hospital doors far too often. Six times in past three months, he has faced the daunting reality of his health's fragility as he battled phenomena. Each time, he emerges with a spirit that refuses to yield, but the toll it takes is immeasurable.
Despite the challenges he faces, my dad exemplifies the epitome of hard work and dedication. Usually returning to work the day after leaving the hospital, determined to fulfill his responsibilities and provide for his family. My dad's commitment to work is admirable.
With his health decreasing, and the amount of visits he's made to the hospital, each time spending at least a week before being able to go home. The weight of medical bills and everyday expenses has become too heavy to bear alone. My dad has depleted his savings, used all his vacation days, and still has missed so much time at work due to his health struggles.
So, I humbly reach out to you, family, friends, and compassionate strangers, Your generosity can be the beacon of hope that guides my dad through this storm. Your donations will not just ease the burden of medical expenses; they will breathe life into his weary spirit, reminding him that he is not alone in this fight.
Please, consider joining us on this journey of love, resilience, and hope. Together, we can lift my dad's spirits and lighten his load, allowing him to focus on what truly matters: his health and his family.
