I’m trying to help the woman I love.

10 years ago my darling wife Regan was T-boned in her vehicle; resulting in her suffering a traumatic brain injury (TBI) and chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS). 

Despite perseverance and a determined personality, Regan is fighting a never ending battle that’s  becoming increasingly more challenging and overwhelming.I am an Emergency Medical Technician, watching the woman I love most in this world suffer, and there’s nothing I can do but keep trying.

Regan had to leave her career as a digital artist after another bout of her chronic fatigue condition. She become heavily depressed whilst continually fighting the symptoms of a (so far) incurable illness. 

Despite being insured for long term disability in her prior position,  Regans insurance company “The Hartford” are financially ruining our family with expensive legal battles with an aim is to avoid liability. We have already paid thousands in medical bills and tests and we are now facing additional expenses with further tests and lawyer bills.

Their aim is to make it too expensive for us to continue her case. My wages alone are not enough to pay our bills, cover legal fees, make plans for a future, or even know where we will be living over the coming months.

My name is Kevin, I am a British military war veteran, and also a veteran of the United States Army.

I joined the British Army when I was 17 years old; my service included tours of Kosovo and in the Middle East. I have spent the equivalent of 5 years service in Iraq alone.

I am also a US military veteran, I joined after moving to America, but I had to leave several years into my service due to Regans deteriorating health.

We are all in this game of life together. 

I have never asked for anything before, nor have I expected anything for being a veteran with a combined service of 15 years. But I’m asking for you to read the following lines with some empathy from one human to another.

I love my wife more than life itself. Regan taught me how to trust people again after I myself fell on hard times once before.
