A Home for Rayla
Donation protected
Rayla is a single mother of three. As part of her divorce, her ex-husband was left the property they shared. He defaulted on the loans for the house. The house foreclosed, but nearly 10 years later the foreclosure is still harming her credit. CT property law is communal, meaning that even though Rayla was not legally responsible for the foreclosed property, she is still dealing with the fallout. She has finally been able to get a small loan to buy her own home but it is costly due to the damage caused by the foreclosure which means she needs to come up with a larger sum of money.
We are looking to raise enough for Rayla to be able to afford the final cost associated with buying a house for her and her children. Anything you can give will help and is appreciated. She is also short on time as the home she is currently renting is earmarked for sale and demolition.
