I don’t even know where to start for this. I don’t think anyone would.

On December 28th, the trajectory of our family’s entire life took the most tragic turn imaginable. My father, Andy Ziegler, unexpectedly passed away.

Andy was by far the most cherished man. As a father, grandfather, son, friend, brother, and husband, his entire life was dedicated to touching the lives of others. His loss will be felt by our entire community.

As a firefighter, no amount of danger was ever deemed more than being the frontline for those in need. He will be so deeply missed by his department brothers, and so, so many more.

I feel there are so many words left unsaid, but not a string of words could carry the weight of expressing how amazing my father was. Together, we will navigate such a tragic loss.

Our family is asking for help from our community to support the very unexpected expenses of putting together the honorable memorial he deserves.

Anything that doesn’t go towards immediate expenses will be donated back to Milaca Fire.
