My name is Kenneth, and after spending 20 years in the Florida Department of Corrections, I am starting over with nothing. During my time away, I lost all of my family—they have all passed on, leaving me to face the world alone. Coming out after so long, I have no assets, no home, and no support system to lean on. It’s a difficult and humbling place to be, but I am determined to rebuild my life from the ground up.
Since my release, I have been doing my best to stay positive and confident, but the reality is that starting over is incredibly hard without any resources. I am reaching out to the community for a helping hand as I work to secure basic needs like housing, food, and transportation. Every bit of support will help me take steps toward stability and independence. I am deeply grateful for any kindness, understanding, and forgiveness you can offer as I move forward. Thank you for believing in second chances and for helping me begin again.
