A Family in Need of Us Now More Than Ever

Some moments divide life into before and after.

For Sipho and her family, that moment came on the 14th of July.

Her husband, Az, a loving and devoted father and husband, suffered a devastating brainstem bleed and was airlifted to hospital. In an instant, everything changed. What followed was not just a medical battle, but a profound display of courage, endurance, and love.

Az fought with extraordinary strength. He spent nearly seven weeks in a coma and almost three weeks on life support. He underwent a tracheostomy and PEG feeding, and even in the face of unimaginable odds, he kept fighting. When he was finally transferred to rehabilitation, there was hope. Day by day, he showed resilience. There were signs of progress. The future, though uncertain, felt possible.

Then, suddenly, everything shifted again.

Az contracted sepsis. His body, already exhausted from months of fighting, could not withstand it. and just like that.. he passed away.

Sipho has lost her husband. Three young children have lost a father they adored.

And if you know Sipho, you know the kind of person she is.

She is the one who shows up with a smile, even when life is not easy. She is steady, positive, and deeply devoted to her family. A present and loving mother. A faithful and supportive wife. The kind of person who quietly strengthens everyone around her.

We have known her for many years, and that same faith and strength have marked the way she has walked through this entire journey.

Now she is facing the unimaginable.

And this is where we come in.

In moments like this, community matters. Not just in words, but in action. Sipho is carrying the weight of grief while also facing funeral costs, ongoing living expenses, and the challenge of providing stability for her children in the months ahead.

Our goal is simple. To surround her with such practical support that, for the next year, she does not have to live under the constant pressure of financial survival. To give her space to grieve, to breathe, to begin to rebuild with dignity, strength, and hope.

This is more than a donation. It is a shared act of love.

If you can give, please do. If you can share, please help us reach others. Every contribution, of any size, becomes part of a collective effort to carry this family through one of the hardest seasons imaginable.

Let us be the kind of community that shows up when it matters most.

For Sipho. For her children. For Az’s legacy.

Thank you.

Note: all donations will go directly to Sipho's account.
