We are Nicola and Ben, Ethan's Auntie and Uncle. We are fundraising to help Ethan and his family.
As some of you will know, sixteen year old Ethan is critically ill in hospital. He fell ill with the flu on Saturday 3rd February, and by the 8th he had been rushed to hospital where he was put in an induced coma. Ethan had three cardiac arrests, and soon afterwards the doctors confirmed he had sepsis.
Ethan was sent for chest scans, and then to the ICU. He was put on lots of drips and machines - he also had pneumonia and servere respiratory failure. He was then transferred to Wythenshawe Hospital on a special machine, and he remains there in critical condition.
On Monday 12th February, Ethan’s legs were amputated just below the knee. The amputations were necessary for his survival. Please help us to raise as much as we can for this strong, special family, and a for special young man who will have his full life ahead of him when he comes round.
