Sam’s Cancer Treatment Fund
Donation protected
On December 18th our 8 year old male Labrador retriever, Sam, underwent surgery to remove a suspicious mass. When the cytology results came back we were devastated. What we thought was a small “lump” turned out to be a 4” diameter, mast cell tumor . . . stage III cancer. Our vet said if left untreated it will quickly spread to his organs and we were advised to see an oncologist immediately.
After more medical tests we were told it appears the cancer is localized. However, since the entire tumor could not be removed Sam will require an aggressive radiation and chemotherapy program as early as January 5th. Sam and his sister Shelby are our world and we will be doing just what the doctor ordered. Unfortunately, this is a costly proposition. The cost for his surgery, medication, follow-up tests, radiation, chemotherapy, and hospital stays will total $27,090.
When we brought Sam home as a puppy, we made a commitment to take care of him for the rest of his life. Any donation to help with his treatment is appreciated and will keep our family whole. Thank you so much for your support and we will keep you updated on his progress.
