Skippy's Medical Bills

I'm not expecting to raise the whole goal amount, just looking for some help keeping my best bud in good shape. A few weeks ago, I had to rush my cat, Skippy, to the vet after he became lethargic and lost a lot of weight in the matter of three days. It turned out he had diabetes in an advanced stage. What was weird was that he didn't show any warning signs like strange urination or an increase in water consumption. His glucose was off the charts, his red blood cells were way down, and he had ketones in his blood stream that caused him to lose his appetite. His electrolytes were a mess, and I had to make a decision. I've had him for 8 years, and he's been such a great companion. I rushed him to an emergency vet, where he spent 8 days in intensive care. His failure to eat caused hepatic lipidosis, or fatty liver disease. To fix that, my only choice was to have them place an esophageal feeding tube. This began to reverse all of his problems. He's since come home, and has made a wonderful recovery, $7000 later. He's completely worth it to me. I'm working closely on his diet and monitoring his blood sugar several times a day. Skip's been there for me through thick and thin, and when I took responsibility of him, it wasn't just while it was easy. I chose to take care of him no matter what, and be there for him just as he's been there for me. I'm working on trying to make the minimum payments on his hospital bills, but his follow up appointments at the vet have been over $200 so far, and he'll need to be on insulin which is $230 every month. I need syringes, glucose test strips, and lancets to keep him recovering smoothly and get him back to his old self. I'm not one to ask for a hand out or charity, I'm just trying to do my best for the best little guy I know. Any and all help, and even well wishes and prayers, are very much appreciated! Thank you for taking the time to read this, Skippy and I both appreciate it very much!
