Help Our Inner-City Students Travel
Donation protected
This February, for the first time in four years, the School of Design and Construction will be offering students the opportunity to travel internationally . For many of the thirteen students who will be travelling, this will be the first time they have travelled abroad. Some have never even left New York City! This type of travel opportunity is rare for a Title 1, high-poverty school such as ours.
The students and their families understand the financial burden of such a trip, but prioritize the opportunities of experiencing new cultures, foods, and people. Although the students and their families are working hard to pay for their trips, several necessary expenses are not covered in the basic trip cost. There are some critical costs students still must cover.
Your generous donations will help fund…
- Students’ meals
- Cultural excursions
- Transportation costs
Additionally, three enthusiastic teacher-chaperones are using their personal funds to supervise this trip. We are actively working to defray these costs as well.
