My family is looking to turn a tragedy into a positive action that my nephew would have been proud of.
In January 2015 my family lost a son, a brother, a grandson, a husband, a friend and a hero. He spent his life by serving for our country in the Air Force and by being a fireman. We were lucky enough to have Eric in our lives for 34 years but he was taken away too soon. He had a German shepherde named Grace, who was like a child to him and because of our love for animals and his love to serve, we are asking for donations to provide k9 vests to a Police department.
We had originally set out to buy just one, but there are 7 dogs that are in need of jackets. We already have raised enough for 6 vests so we only need one more! We feel that my nephews feeling would be "NO DOG LEFT BEHIND". We believe that because we lost a life, hopefully through this we can save a life.
