Marlee’s Fight

We meet again, with this sick disease.. As very few of you know, Marlee has begun her second battle against cancer, Alveolar Rhabdomyosarcoma.. Unfortunately it has returned in more places than one this time.. She was in remission for 2 & 1/2 months and we’ve begun her second fight February 5th, 2018.. This time around is much more aggressive and going to be much harder on her body, but she is strong and I believe she will beat the odds yet again.. My family and I have tried our best to stay positive and understand this illness by educating ourselves and being in tune with Marlee and how she is feeling, every step of the way.. Marlee has shown a strength even I, myself, don’t know if I’d ever have.. Thus far, we’ve already had multiple hospital stays just 9 weeks into her 1 year treatment plan, with the most current being due to inexplainable fevers for 5 days straight.. Her immunity is compromised yet she remains extremely healthy under said circumstances.. I’m going to fight this along side her again and again and again until she no longer has to.. She will beat this and blossom like the flower she is.. I’ve learned not to spend so much time planning for the future and worrying.. But rather enjoy the now because it’s all we have.. I genuinely don’t like asking for help, but I’m only doing so in hopes that someone may want to or even know of resources/organization I can contact to aid in this.. I also want to spread awareness about the type of cancer she has and how important it is to always be thankful for what you have.. Going through this, has been an overwhelmingly humbling experience and I’m just thankful Marlee is alive to fight another day, as many aren’t as fortunate.
