Natuashish Vet Clinic March 2018

Donation protected
The North Atlantic Remote Veterinary Services group is very happy to report that our next spay/neuter clinic is scheduled for late March'18 in Natuashish, Labrador. Our first spay/neuter clinic in Hopedale, September 2016 was very successful thanks to your support. Our second Labrador clinic was in March 2017 in Postville/Makkovik. It was also very successful. We are a completely publicly funded, not for profit group and all funds raised goes towards drug and surgical supplies, equipment, transportation and administration. All professional services are volunteer, and accommodations and food are provided by the local community. Therefore all funds raised are funnelled straight towards the benefit of the dogs, as well as some cats, in the community.

Natuashish is a remote and isolated Innu community on the Labrador coastline. The nearest vet is hundreds of miles away reachable only by airplane. Population control is a continual problem in these remote communities with surviving puppies being shipped to an over flowing Happy Valley-Goose Bay SPCA. Vaccination, deworming and other basic veterinary care that everyone else has readily available is also completely lacking. Veterinary care is an integral part of a community's social health.
Please help us to help this community.

Visit our facebook page North Atlantic Remote Veterinary Services to see photos of previous spay/neuter clinics I have participated in, photos, personal accounts, how we are doing with other fund raising, as well as discussions about this very important issue.
