Help Renovate New LFP Studio
Donation protected
Dear friends,
WE ARE EXCITED TO ANNOUNCE THAT WE HAVE NOW SECURED A NEW GALLERY SPACE LOCATED IN LINCOLN HEIGHTS! Having a permanent home is a huge accomplishment and we can't wait to begin empowering our girls here.
We are seeking your support to push forward the renovations for our NEW Las Fotos Project studio gallery. This space will allow us to grow and bring to fruition our goals in providing girls a communal space where they can enrich their photography skills and become self-empowered through creativity and self-expression.
Donations will go towards building a darkroom! A darkroom will give the girls a chance to learn about analog photography and to process their own film by hand. The learning experience gained through darkroom photography serves as a great foundation to understanding the composition of the photograph and the importance of the single, specific shot captured. Plus, it's really fun!
DONATE NOW AND YOU WILL RECEIVE AN INVITATION TO OUR FIRST LOOK DONORS EVENT ON SEPTEMBER 10TH TO SEE THE RENOVATIONS YOU'VE HELPED ACCOMPLISH!

This new place will serve as a creative space for programming, workshops, and a home where our girls can build a community together. The new location will include a formal gallery space, a darkroom, and a studio where the girls can work on their projects, expand their skill set, and showcase their work year-round.
The mission of Las Fotos Project is to inspire teenage girls through photography, mentorship, and self-expression. We partner with schools and nonprofit organizations throughout East, South, and Central Los Angeles to create brave spaces for girls to collaborate, learn, and be creative while being guided by local artists and photographers. We've grown a lot in the six years since we were founded- from a small home office to a shared space in Boyle Heights to our new home. Now that we have a gallery, we finally have a setting to display our student’s photographs. This means we don't have to rent out venues for exhibitions, meetings, and programming events so we can focus even more on teaching, mentoring, and expansion!
Our students are really excited about this space, and we hope you are too!

Our community will greatly appreciate your help in making this vision possible. Any donations will be very helpful to bringing us a step closer to opening up this great space!
Thank you for your support!
