Kristen's Cancer Kicking Fund
Donation protected
This gofundme account will be used for medical and living expences related to treatment of stage 3-4 breast cancer. Kristen Matthews-Nitschke received her diagnosis on June 5th, on her way home from work. We are waiting on a bone density scan, MRI, and brain scan to determine how advanced the cancer is, where it has spread, and what the treatment protocol will be. At this time, Kristen's medical plan is to get a port put in for 9 chemo treatments, (every 3 weeks, for 3 months) before surgery to remove one, if not both breasts. In addition, she will be on other medications at home to treat HER2, a hormone that makes her cancer more agressive.
Kristen has two kids still at home (age 7 and 4) who she needs to support, and she will have additional travel expenses, medical bills, lost wages at work, and all of the other costs associated with a fight for your life.
We currently have no idea what type of help and support Kristen will need, but we will certainly keep things updated as we learn more. Please hold Kristen in your prayers. If you can donate, thank you! Locals, be on the look out for other ways to help. Also, please share this with all of your friends and family. Kristen has overcome so much in her life, and we don't want her to have to worry about medical expenses or feeding her kids while she battles it out with this disease.
