I'm running Comrades for KEBI and the Brain Tumour Charity
Donation protected
Hi everyone!
On Sunday 8th June I'll be running the Comrades Marathon in South Africa! Comrades is the worlds oldest and largest ultramarathon, which many of you will know as I've been banging on about it for a while.
The race is about 56 miles (90km) from Pietermaritzburg to Durban, which is roughly two marathons and a parkrun. Apparently it's quite hilly, usually a bit warm, and you have to finish in under twelve hours. It's also a marathon further than I've ever run before! I've decided to use this feat of stupidity as an opportunity to raise some money for two charities which support people with conditions that have affected the lives of my family and friends.
I'm raising money for Keluara Epidermolysis Bullosa Indonesia and the Brain Tumour Chairty. KEBI supports children living with Epidermolysis Bullosa which is a rare and incurable genetic condition that requires constant management. The Brain Tumour Charity is dedicated to funding research, raising awareness of brain tumours and providing support and information for people with brain tumours, their families and friends. These are two very worthy causes, and 100% of funds raised will be split equally between the two charities.
I appreciate these are tough times for lots of people but any donations will be greatly received and thoroughly appreciated!
