UPDATE:
I found an article that mentions a cure for FIP, but the maker refuses to license it for use in animals. People are getting the cure in the black market, which is costing a fortune. Like I said in my initial post, I'm hoping for a miracle, so if I can reach the amount to purchase the cure, I'll be in heaven! Sharing the link to the article so you can read:

He has so much life in him, he can now groom himself some, eats and drinks, the exploding welts on his tongue are gone, and I don't have words to describe the level of sweetness for someone who's had it so rough.

I came across a post w/pictures of this little treasure. Due to the nature of his injuries, I rushed to pick him up, but didn't expect what I saw: he was incredibly thin, dirty, w/very bad odor, supremely weak, & couldn't open his mouth, eat or drink. He couldn't groom himself, so, all the food had become a really hard crust around his mouth... & his tongue was plagued with huge white exploding welts full of pus. I took him w/me (the picture here is of him falling asleep in my arms during the whole ride). The vet said he was in extreme pain due to his tongue-welts, & that this is why he couldn't eat or drink. I took him home w/pain meds, eyedrops, meds for the infection on his tongue & subQ fluids. He's been given 2 baths & dirt still comes out. He's doing better w/all the TLC, though he's constantly groggy due to the meds. The tests came back 2 days later & broke my heart: he has FIP. Her first words actually were "His kidney values are so high I'm surprised he's alive". She also said he was quite possibly abused... but he's a little fighter. I'm putting my hopes on High & just hope they're not crushed in the end, but I pray for a miracle. Vet will re-test him in a few weeks to see if w/the care given the kidney values get better. They also say that FIP is not always curable & can be fatal, so I'm just hoping we caught it in time.
As no vet sees animals unless you have the $$ to pay, & since I had practically none (unemployed due to CO.VI.D), I had to borrow from 2 people to be able to get him in. Thank God that worked out. Now I'm worried because he's going to need continued care, & I'd love to have enough money on hand to get him through this, so, any little bit you can help with would be appreciated beyond words. I'll keep a summary of updates on this GoFundMe, w/a link to the detailed ones. Please feel free to e-mail me with any questions: [email redacted]
