Our siblings are our original soulmates. There is great potential to connect on a level which no one will quite understand you like they do. It can be the smallest of moments or a look across the dinner table, but they just know what you're thinking/feeling. Or if you're having a tough time, they know exactly what to say or what not to say to make you smile.

Melissa Garcia and her younger brother Jesus were the epitome of a sibling twin flame relationship...and they weren't even twins. Food, coffee, and skateboarding connected them on such a deep level that when she talked about her brother, you could feel as if she was talking about the other half of her heart.

Sadly and tragically, Jesus recently passed away. He was only 27 years old.

We've started this GoFundMe fundraiser to help the Garcia Family navigate these inconceivably difficult times in any way we can. For those of you who are not aware, Melissa is a freelance product stylist and has spent many years supporting her family.

With the passing of her brother, Melissa has had to take time off of work to grieve yet still take care of her family - as she has done her entire life. She has the biggest heart we know and she is the center of their family's universe. We need to do whatever we can to make sure the center of this sweet family remains intact so they all can push forward together in this life.

All donations will go toward a memorial fund for Jesus as well as help chip away at the mounting medical bills for her mother's cancer treatments (we are currently not in a place in which we can disclose more information about Melissa's mother as they are a very private family, so even this amount of sensitive information about her brother is a lot for them to share with the world). We will update this page about that aspect of their difficult situation should the time come in which they feel more comfortable.
