For a Great Teacher
Donation protected
Miss Kelly, a special education teacher for several years, has a very compelling story, one that includes a complicated, intense surgery while trying to continue her commitment and dedication to her students.
After her Teacher of the Year award, she was diagnosed with a very rare and deadly form of cancer, requiring prompt surgery, at City of Hope, a cancer treatment center in California.
Surgery lasted 12.5 hours and included several doctors. Her recovery was long and debilitating, which made her feeling alone and afraid. Her life was changed forever - leaving her unable to teach with no income for over a year. She never complained nor asked for any help, keeping her predicament to herself.
After several years of rehibilitation, mounting medical bills, and living expenses, she is now back teaching her beloved 4th graders. She is an extraordinary teacher and her students have come to love her, She has a gift as an educator and her students and parents appreciate her.
She continues to have problems affecting her health and will continue to have them for the rest of her life. She is courageously continuing working with and through the pain. Any help is desperately needed to get her back on her feet. She has a very tough life! She is very reluctant to put people out and ask for help", which she needs." "And she knows nothing of this plea"
If you could find it in your heart to make a donation, "it would be extremely helpful . Also, if donations reach $500.00 by 5/18/17, she would qualify for a $1000.00 award from GoFundMe, which is very beneficial for a teacher.
Thank you for your compassion and charity - it will never be misused nor wasted." The money raised will benefit her classroom and her students!
