Help Fabrizio Surf Again with a new Prosthetic Leg
Donation protected
Fabrizio Passetti doesn't need a hand, he needs a leg. Can you help a little? Fabrizio is more than an athlete — he’s a living example of perseverance. After losing his leg in a motorcycle accident at 18, he refused to walk away from his dream of surfing. With grit and creativity, he built his own prosthetic to ride waves again — becoming one of the world’s most recognized adaptive surfers.
But the journey hasn’t been easy.
For the past few years, Fabrizio has been fighting the Italian healthcare system in hopes of receiving a proper prosthetic leg for surfing — one that can handle the impact, balance, and motion of powerful waves. Despite his efforts, he’s been met with roadblocks and bureaucratic delays. In the meantime, he continues to repair and rebuild his old surf leg, piece by piece — because giving up isn’t in his nature.
Now, we’re coming together to help him get what he truly needs: a professionally built, high-performance prosthetic leg that will allow him to surf safely, freely, and at his full potential.
His new prosthetic leg is being built by Dr Marco Bazuro and Ottobock.
Your donation will go directly toward the creation and fitting of this surf-specific prosthetic — a tool that will let Fabrizio keep doing what he was born to do: inspire others through the power of movement, resilience, and the ocean.
Whether you give a little or a lot, your support makes a real impact. Together, we can get Fabrizio back where he belongs — on his board, chasing waves, and showing the world what’s possible when we don’t give up on each other.
Thank you for being part of his journey.
