The first in situ part of our program written for Jhamtse Gatsal Children's Community in Himalayan India will begin in March 2024!
Our artistic and art-therapeutic project proposed to Jhamtse Gatsal Children's Community (“Garden of Love & Compassion” in Tibetan) will unfold during a first stay in Arunachal Pradesh, far east of India at the border of Bhutan.
Takeoff is confirmed on the 21st of March 2024 for a 10-day retreat in Jhamtse Gatsal! 5 days of travel separate the Elovution headquarter in Saint-Malo, Brittany, from the Children's Community located not far from Tawang (at 3000 m altitude).
The objective of this trip is first to immerse oneself in the land of the Monpas (ethnic group of this remote Himalayan region where Mahayana Buddhism is prevalent) and to immerse oneself in depth in the local traditional culture, of Tibetan origin.
Drawing inspiration from the ethics and vision of the Community founded by Lobsang Phuntsok, exchanging, discovering the needs of the teams as well as those of the children is truly what will allow us to write the program “Art as a Empowerment” with the greatest relevance.
Caroline Maby is the facilitator who runs the program and will head to India. She met Lobsang Phuntsok last summer in France.
