Eddie Cruz Police Officer Fighting Covid19

Hello Family and Friends, I am reaching out during this time of need. Eddie Cruz 37, has been experiencing high fevers and difficulty breathing for the past week. He was admitted into the hospital on Saturday November 6th, 2021. He has been diagnosed with pneumonia in both lungs and is currently relying on oxygen. Little did anyone know that COVID-19 was ferociously attacking his lungs and heart. His breathing became more labored with every day that has passed. The last few days have been very scary to say the least. He will text a few times a day but is unable to talk or hold a conversation. He is focusing hard on breathing. He is trying to be strong so he can continue his fight with COVID-19.

Unfortunately, during this time Eddie will not be paid for his time off. A few of his co-workers have donated some PTO time, which Eddie and Monique are very grateful for and appreciate them more than words can express. However, not knowing how long he will be hospitalized and him not showing any signs of a quick recovery this is causing a lot stress for his family. As we all know Eddie is a Buckeye Police Officer and has a family that depends highly on his income. Monique and the kids are looking at some difficult times ahead of them. Eddie is a very loving and supportive father/husband. He is always in good spirits, joking and a very hard worker. With Eddie being sick and fighting COVID this has been a stressful time for his family. Currently the doctors are unable to provide a release date since Eddie is not responding well to the medication and is fully reliant on oxygen at this point. We fear for the worst but praying that Eddie does not have to experience more then what he already is and praying for a positive outcome.
