Pls help Dale Louise Whitford battle Cancer!
My name is Judy and 4 years ago my Aunty Dale was diagnosed with Breast Cancer. After undergoing radiation treatments and a lymphadenectomy. Her cancer was in remission. Last year she went in for routine screening and they found that the cancer had returned. While going through the process of preparing her body for another bout of radiation, they discovered a tumor on her spine. Further testing revealed that the cancer had metastasized to her bones and multiple tumors were discovered on her spine. The tumors were deemed inoperable due to the possibility of severe blood loss. My Aunt was then diagnosed with Stage 4 Terminal Cancer.
She is now required to go into the city multiple times a week for treatments to manage the spread and quality of life. This has been very financially straining for my aunt and uncle. She is unable to work due to her condition and my uncle is only able to work part-time as his health has not been good for the past couple of years. Between him missing work, the cost of gas, parking fees and medications, they are severely struggling.
I know times are hard for many of us right now. It is my hope that if we all can donate even a little bit, all those little donations added together can make a big difference for them and help to relieve some of the financial stress they are experiencing. They should be focusing on their health and time with their loved ones. Not wondering how they are going to pay for this months medications, or keeping the power on in the house. There is just not enough money to cover everything.
I know that if all us "little" people join together to help, we can have a huge impact on her quality of life going forward and hopefully give her more time to spend with her family. The cancer keeps spreading and the tumors continue to multiple.
My Aunt is using her experience to help educate others about the truth and harsh realities of cancer. She went to see her family doctor a year prior to getting the bad news. She had been experiencing severe back pain and went in to see her doctor about it. She was dismissed as having a pulled muscle or kidney stones because according to her family doctor... Breast Cancer can NOT spread. If she had been listened to or taken seriously it could have been caught sooner. She didn't give in. She fought to be heard and is continuing to fight each day. Her message is clear... No one knows our bodies like we do. If you think something is wrong, keep pushing until you are heard. It could save your life one day.
