Colorado Student Leaders Institute
Tax deductible
Colorado Student Leaders Institute, an affiliate of the National Conference of Governor's Schools, is an academic & experiential summer residential program for Colorado high school students. Designed by a student board, the inaugural Summer session was Summer, 2016 on the campus of University of Colorado, Denver. Students studied STEAM and International Studies - along with a full Liberal Arts curriculum. All students were selected through a college level application process, with 67% being eligible for free/reduced lunch and/or the first generation in their family to attend post-secondary school. The Institute is part of a national network with over a 50 year history of success nationwide. COSLI is a 501(c)3, as such, all donations are tax-deductible.
Students also:
- Created a small business and sold their product or service;
- Completed a Colorado-Centric National History Day project and 10 teams are headed to State;
- Tackled some of Colorado's most pressing problems and will be testifying before The Legislature in the 2017 Session to share their solutions!
Each year, we have to raise $40,000 to release the state funds legislated to make the summer happen. For 2017, we are almost there! And, your dollars are matched with an initial $10,000 challenge grant! Please support these amazing kids - these fantastic future Colorado leaders! We expect that 80% of them will stay in state for college...and career - and we need them.
