My name is Karen Tartamella I have known the Williams family since their youngest daughter was 4 years old. Brian and Sandy have been dedicated members of the Trailwood Village swim team and Sandy served as a volunteer and board member with the Foster PTA. They are an assesst to our community! We have known them since they lived a street over and helped Brian move into his current home where the fire took place. I live a couple of houses over from Brian and his children and watched their home burn for over an hour. It is with Brian and Sandy's permission that we have started this page to assist Brian and his three children with both short and long term needs. This will be a long journey and though there is insurance, it will not replace everything and they will not see any moneyimmediately. The kids lost everything from toiletries, makeup, straightening irons, blow dryers, uniforms, sports equipment, books, homework, shoes, clothes, furniture, letterman jackets, irreplaceable family momentos and pictures, and so much more, the security of having their home. The emotional trauma that these precious kids have been through is something no child of any age, no person really, should have to experience. My own children have had anxiety after watching their neighbors home burn down I can't imagine what these kids are going through. Both my husband and I were there after the fire trucks left the first night and we watched as Brian went into, and came out of the house. They were able to save three FFA turckeys that their son had raised and had in the garage freezer, that is all! They knew that first night that everything was a loss and that they would have to try somehow to rebuild their lives, their home. It will be a long journey and their needs will change as time goes on. They are currently staying with family and have very little space to accept donations of appliances, furniture, and clothing but your financial donation will make all the difference in their lives and their attempt to regain some noramlcy. Anything you can give will help this family and we sincerely appreicate everyone's efforts. If all you can do is offer a prayer that is also very much appreciated. May God bless each of you!
Sincerely,
Karen Tartamella
