Calling on your community compassion!!
Sadly, after a short, but courageous battle, our dear friend Barbara Racz has gained her Angel wings. To know Barb, was to love Barb. She was a woman who was out going, friendly to everyone she met with the biggest personality and a huge heart. She was always the 1st to offer her help to anyone and any cause that needed it. She was so much fun to be around as any one of her many friends can attest!
Barb was a young single mother of 2 wonderful children. Her children were her entire world, her pride & joy. She worked very hard all the time as she wanted to give her children every opportunity life had to offer. They were all very well known and loved in the hockey and various sporting communities. Her son played hockey, football and rugby and is also a referee for the Whitby Wolves hockey league. Her daughter also played rugby and is a very talented goalie with the Durham West U15AA hockey team who made it to the OWHA Southern Championship finals this year. Proud moment for Barb as you can well imagine!
Barb also has that one, very special best friend, that was often with her at most of the kid's sporting events and all of the family’s special moments in life, her Mother. Barb & her Mother were extremely close and of course, she was right by her only daughter’s side as she fought the biggest fight of her life. Now, as a retired grandmother, Darlene Racz, is being challenged with the task of helping guide her only 2 grandchildren to continue to live the life their Mother wanted for them.
This family now needs our help. I am asking you, if you can, to please help me raise money for Barb’s children as they forge their way through life without their Mom. Anything you can do would be greatly appreciated, every little bit helps. You can also help by sharing, as the more hearts we reach, the more we can do for these kids. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart.
