Axell Rian’s Kawasaki’s disease
Donation protected
UPDATE: Axell was treated for the neck swelling and after four days we were sent home. He still had fevers and developed red bloodshot eyes and cherry red lips along with some other symptoms. He is now going back for treatment of Kawasakis disease/ we think this rare disease may be the source of his health issues as of recent/ we will be driving back and staying for an undetermined amount of time. We have both missed weeks of work and anything helps.
Thank you,
Mindy
Axell Rian was unexpectedly life flighted to Dorenbecher Children’s hospital on 5/30/2019.
This account was originally created for his urology surgeries in 2017 and 2018 for which a little over $2,000 raised. Now we are facing a sudden emergent and unrelated issue. After three days of going back and forth between the emergency room and home, Axell became so sick, dehydrated, and swollen in the neck, that it was quickly decided to fly him to Portland for emergency care for pediatrics and we were admitted upon arrival. We are not sure how long we will be here. We don’t know what caused the neck swelling and we are experimenting with different antibiotics trying to find one that will help. All we know is his lymph nodes are swollen and infected and his severe fevers caused extreme dehydration and tachycardia. At this point we are just trying to keep him comfortable until we know more. This was all ver unexpected. Any funds will help with travel and expense from missing work and caring for our son.
We really appreciate the funds raised in the past for his surgeries and anything anyone can do now in his more emergent situation.
Thank you,
Mindy
