Linda Loiodice passed away on Saturday, March 13th, 2021 after an unexpected battle with Covid.
In addition to the love for her family and friends, travel colleagues and clients, for the last 40 years, she had an unrivaled passion for the beauty, elegance and culture of the people and natural wonders of Anguilla. There wasn’t a year that passed that she wouldn’t try to spend as much time on the island as possible. She gave the island her undivided love, and the island gave her the best memories she could have ever asked for.
Her love affair with the island started from her first visit in the mid-80s. She was there for its growth from a one resort wonder with the Malliouhana as the only major hotel on the island, to the globally-recognized travel destination it is today. She was a true ambassador for all the island had to offer. While much changed in Linda’s life over the years at home, her affinity towards the people and beauty of Anguilla remained unwavering, like a constant burning flame. Anguilla was her sanctuary.
Peter, Linda’s husband, and all of her kids want to give back to the place that gave so much to her. There are so many more people than even I’ll know in writing this, but I’d like to personally tribute this post to those island family members that made this flame inside her burn so fiercely:
St Clair, Carol, Lillian, Bob, Stefane, Chris, Chantelle, Omari, Tiago, Garvey, Franklyn, Ena, Accelyn, Derrick, Justin, Jasmin, the Wallace family, Hank and Terri, Howie and Fern, the Connors, Tweety, Soya, Annette, Sue, Alan, Tony, Elvis, Peter, Dave, Dominique, Jacques, Will, Mattias and so many more (only not mentioned due to the constraints of my memory, not the impact on Linda's time and experience on the island).
In place of all traditional condolences, we'd respectfully ask Linda's family, friends, colleagues, and broader travel community to contribute to this memorial fund. We will allocate any money collected here within the next 90 days, be it $1 or any sum greater to a cause that will be chosen with local input and that benefits the people on the island. This donation will be made in Linda's honor.
With Linda’s passing, she leaves us all with a clear directive - enjoy time with family and friends, find and create new memories both in familiar and unfamiliar place, and see the world (and visit Anguilla if you haven't gotten there already).
Thank you all in advance for any contribution, no matter the size. Anguilla, thank you for being our mom’s paradise and her definition of tranquility in what can otherwise be a chaotic world.

Please note:
1) We know this year has been difficult in so many ways for so many people. Please know there is no obligation to contribute and we fully understand.
2) The "funding goal" is a necessary input for the site. In reality, there is no "goal." Whatever the amount that is raised, is what we will work with.
3) We plan to update everyone once we decide on how to allocate the funds collected here, regardless of the amount.
4) This contribution will not be tax deductible. If you prefer to contribute to a similar cause that benefits Anguilla in Linda's honor that will be tax deductible through a 501c3 organization , please reach out to me directly ([email redacted]).
