Helping a Widow in Need
Donation protected
Rachel's husband had full benefits, including life insurance, while working in corporate America. When God called them to Mexico as missionaries, they gave up this security. Gary died suddenly, and now Rachel is back in the U.S., trying to provide for her children, Nathaniel and Bethany.
Rachel went to Realtor school upon returning from Mexico last year and recently obtained her real estate license. She is an excellent Realtor working with a world class team. Despite her diligence and hard work with many clients, she hasn't been to the closing table as of yet, where she would receive her first paycheck from RE/MAX.
The social security benefits this family has been living on will expire on May 31. People on her Facebook page are reassuring her in this scary time that God will provide. It occured to me that one way He might work to provide for this family is through us, the body, being His hands and feet. Please consider donating to help pay their rent, groceries, utilities, etc. until Rachel can make a regular income. James 1:27 says, "Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress..."
Would you help look after this widow and her children in their distress? Please prayerfully consider a donation of any amount- even $5. It all adds up. :) Since their "income" ends on May 31, the sooner the better. If you can't donate at this time, please pray for some homes to sell.
Thanks!
