Help My Pops

As most of my real-life fB friends know, my pops and I have always had a somewhat rocky relationship. However, he's still my pops and I'll do anything I can to help him out. Currently, he is faced with one hell of a dilemma: he is requiring two separate back surgeries just to keep him out of a wheelchair. Without these surgeries, he will most likely be wheelchair-bound and in constant pain for the rest of his life. The surgeries themselves are financially covered by his government retirement, but he has no available paid time off of work, and, between the surgeries and recovery time, he's looking at almost 90 days without income, which is...not really a possibility. We're exploring all avenues to help him get these surgeries and to make sure he has the money he'll be missing by being unable to work during his recovery, as well as getting him back to being able to function, but right now, I'm swallowing my pride (and he's swallowing his) to ask for ANY help anyone can offer him. Neither he nor I will be able to pay anyone back in anything but hugs and high-fives, but if you can help him out, you'll have his - and my - eternal gratitude.
