Friends, on May 28, 2025, my friend's husband, Alexander Radchenko, died tragically. Due to the war in Ukraine, Alexander, his wife, and two children, aged 10 and 8, were forced to leave their home country. Two years ago, he moved to Calgary, hoping that Canada would become his new home. Alexander dreamed of the future and how he would raise his daughters. And today, May 29, I am writing this post asking for financial help for his family for all funeral expenses. And we do not fully believe what happened. Alexander's mother and father are in the occupied territory, and he has no relatives in Canada. He was in Canada under the program for Ukrainians, which does not allow him to be buried here. Therefore, the body will be cremated. At the moment, the costs are from 10 thousand dollars, which is not a small amount of money. We have already contacted various government organizations to help the family financially, but everything is not so simple, since Alexander was in Canada on a work permit, lived in Canada for less than 3 years and there are many other subtleties. But we continue to knock on different doors, and at the same time we ask you, sympathetic people, to help this family, his wife, who was left here alone with two girls aged 10 and 8, if you have such an opportunity. His wife is handling the main aspects of the funeral and documents. Thank you for your responsiveness.
