Hi, my name is Anthony OFarrell
I am currently in treatment for Cancer of the throat and have been through major surgery to remove my larynx (voice box ) I have not been able to work for over a year now resulting in unpaid bills and mortgage.
During the last year I have had 5 operations and biopsies taken and unfortunately throat cancer is very hard to diagnose, so without a clear diagnosis I was unable to get hell from McMillan or any other cancer charities and have been living on £350 per month for the last 12 months, this has caused major problems for me including
my Lloyds bank account was shut down resulting in my insurance elapsing, I then had my car impounded just before surgery and was left at the side of the road, this happened over four month ago and the bill was over £1,400 to pay for storage charges as the car was impounded. I have made two complaints with no response and in December the police sold the car at auction at a fraction of the cost it was worth.
I am still trying to find out when/ If I will get some money from the sale.
This has stopped me being able to get around and I have no mobility for the first time in my life.
I live over 40 miles from the hospital
Addensbrook and cannot get on public transport for fear of infection,
I will need to eat healthy food to stop the cancer coming back and learn to Eat, breath through neck and talk and will need many visits to and from hospital.
I have set up the gofundme page so that I can get my mobility back by getting a small cheap car, Rochelle cover my mortgage, gas electric and other bills. The main thing is for me to get back or retrain into a new profession as I’ve never been dependant on the state to help and want my independence.
Please help me by donating at little as £5, this will help me to start my life again and I can’t thank people enough for the donations already received.
Sending my love ❤️ to you all and hope to see you all soon.
Best Regards
Anthony O’Farrell
