Hi, my name is Maryam, a Palestinian-American living in the U.S, and I am writing to call attention to my family who’s currently trapped in Gaza. They are in desperate need to help raise funds to provide basic life necessities (shelter, food, water, medication, and hygiene products)
Their lives has been destroyed by the war.
Gaza is currently uninhabitable and has been labeled by nearly every respectable humanitarian organization as the worst humanitarian crisis in modern history.
My entire family lived in Northern Gaza but under the Israeli army’s orders, they had to flee their homes, leaving everything they had behind, and travel South.
Their homes has become unlivable and their businesses were also heavily damaged. Everything they worked so hard for, gone in a second.
Living in tents is the new normal now instead of their beautiful homes that were destroyed!
Every corner of Gaza still face heavy bombardment as no inch in Gaza has been left unharmed.
They currently have little to no food, water, or clothing available. This humanitarian crisis for them and the entirety of Gaza will only worsen in ways that are horrifying. According to the Israeli army, this war will go on for months, but I fear my family might not have months left in them to survive this catastrophe. Some of my family members have high blood pressure and heart issues and can’t find/buy the medications they desperately need.
My family consists of 4 men, 2 women, and 3 children. My uncle is 60, my aunt is 57, my cousins 33, 30, 27, and 26, and my cousin's kids are 7, 4, and 1. Any donation made will save their lives!
I am once again reiterating that they have not even the basic resources left for them to continue living as their lives can be lost in any second, whether it may be from an airstrike or malnutrition.
Any donation amount helps. You are they're only hope.
***Update***
We've managed to rescue 1 person, my aunt, just few days before the Rafah border was temporarily closed, but 8 of my family members (Ages 1-60 years old) are still stuck. Their physical, medical, and mental condition deteriorates every day that passes. We hope this war ends soon and they’re able to reunite with my aunt in Egypt as planned.
