I am Nana to this precious gift. Born on October 24th, Alexei (Alex) Clayton Granger couldn’t wait to come into this world. This beautiful baby boy and his family are in need of your help.

Shortly after birth Alex was transferred to the NICU at Bon Secours St Mary’s Hospital in Richmond. Alex has been diagnosed with tracheoesophageal fistula, with esophageal atresia. In layman’s terms Alex’s esophagus is not connected to his stomach. Because of this, he will need a feeding tube and ultimately surgery for this primary issue as well as a few minor secondary issues. The local surgeon will consult with a surgeon from Atlanta to determine best course of treatment. It is predicted that Alex will be in the NICU for at least a month.

No parent should have to choose between being with their child during times like these, and being at work, but that is the world we live in. During these critical days and upcoming surgeries there will be a significant loss of income and mounting bills, rent, as well as basics that need to be met for Alex and his family.
