As many of you know, Ryan was diagnosed with Stage 4 Terminal Colorectal Cancer in February 2019. The cancer was so bad that it traveled up to his right lung. So his world got flipped upside and the treatments and scans started. Ryan completed all rounds of Radiation, and Injection Chemotherapy which is administered through a port that was placed in his chest. All of this was done while he was on and still is on Oral Chemotherapy pills. Ryan was then scheduled for as major surgery set for late February 2020 1 year after he was diagnosed. The surgery required him to stop taking the oral chemo for 3 weeks to let his body get strong for the surgery. Lots of pre-op scans and tests were done a few days before surgery to make sure everything was on track. It was not. They found another tumor, this time in his left lung. So NO surgery, he was put back on Chemo ASAP. All this and Ryan is still fighting hard and trying to work when he can. Then Covid-19 hits and doctor visits turn to phone meetings and future scans are put on hold. Ryan can no longer work at this time due to his highly compromised immune system along with the intense neuropathy in his hands and feet. Finally after months of waiting (we are now in August) he gets scheduled for a CT scan. The doctors did not have good results. The tumors in his lungs are growing and spreading. This means that the chemotherapy has stopped working. They tell him to stop taking it ASAP. Now the last option is for Ryan to try a newer Clinical Trial Immunotherapy that attacks certain antibodies. It’s a “targeted” cancer therapy that is given by injections once every 3 weeks. This treatment will start in the next couple of weeks. THIS HAS TO WORK!!! Whatever higher power you believe in, we need it. We need your Strength, Guidance, and Prayers. We have had so much support from our friends and family throughout all of this and we want to thank each and every one of you for your continued thoughts and prayers. We are praying for a miracle! This is the last ditch effort. Xoxo, The Galloways
