Golda - a dog putting abuse behind her
Donation protected
We
would like you to meet Golda. She has endured more than any animal or human
ever should. Here is her story:
In January 2014, Golda was found in Cancun, Mexico being abused by a homeless man. Another homeless man in the area heard her cries, saw what was going on, and reported the abuse. When we located her, she was immediately removed from the situation and taken to a vet where rape was confirmed. We returned with police and the man stated that the allegations were true and that her name was "Little Whore".
Golda has since been spayed and is in foster care with the hopes of getting her a well deserved second chance in Canada. There are people with special training that will help her heal and learn to trust again. Golda wants so badly to love and be loved but she needs help. She cowers when a person enters the room and just vibrates.. she will not get up. She crawls over to kiss my hand.. It is truly heartbreaking. Golda loves the company of other dogs! She jumps, plays and mimics their behavior.. this is a real positive step forward in her recovery.
For Golda to prepare for her life in Canada she needs a lot of vetting work.. a number of tests such as distemper, heartworm and ehrlichia (a common tick born blood bacteria) as well as vaccinations to name a few things. Renacer Contigo, a small local rescue are arranging her vetting and transport. They are asking for donations for her to get the very best care. Muchas Gracias/thanks very much for anything you can give to help Golda.
