Hi, my name is Ivy, and I started this fundraiser to help the people in my small village in Medellin, Cebu, Philippines, which was struck by a 6.9 magnitude earthquake on September 30, 2025, at 21:59. Until now, aftershocks still shake the lives of my people, with tremors reaching 5.1 and higher.

Our neighborhood has been deeply affected by this natural disaster. People are living on the roadside with little to no shelter under the cold and harsh winds of the Northeast Monsoon. Some families completely lost their homes, while others suffered great damage, leaving them unable to seek proper shelter. Furthermore, our neighborhood is far from the nearest markets and stores. They have relied on the kindness of passersby to provide even just a bottle of water. It breaks my heart to see families with no means, worrying about how to rebuild their lives.

I was born and raised in Medellin, Cebu, Philippines. Our place and our people are greatly affected by this calamity. It is sad that what was once home is now left in ruins. These people also lost their homes during Typhoon Yolanda back in 2013. They rebuilt their houses slowly, but once again, they are reduced to debris and scraps. Their years of effort are pulverized; their future, fragmented; their hope, flickering. The children, once lively and carefree, are now helpless and hopeless, standing on the roadside, waving to passersby for relief goods.

All proceeds will be sent directly through bank transfer to Maricel Booc, my sister, who has been overseeing the situation since Day 1, along with selected individuals tasked to distribute the goods. The proceeds will be used to purchase items such as easy and ready-to-cook meals (since only makeshift kitchens are available), water, waterproof canvas for temporary shelters, and more. These resources will be shared among 50 houses or more—approximately 300 individuals.

I will be overseeing the withdrawal of funds with transparency and honesty. Donations will be transferred to the bank account provided and will then be sent to the Philippines through bank transfer. I have set up a team of individuals in the Philippines who will purchase, distribute, and provide receipts of goods, which will go directly to the victims in the form of food packages. My target timeline to distribute the goods is October 6, 2025. There is no time to waste—people are hungry, thirsty, and in urgent need of help.
