My name is Samuel P. Jackson, a native of Liberia, West Africa. I am recovering from prostate cancer. This is an effort to raise money to pay my editors and researchers in advance of publishing my book. Proceeds of my book will also be used to seek additional treatment to aid my full recovery.
During my convalescence over 18 months, I wrote what I consider is a comprehensive political and economic history of Liberia. My background is financial economics, with undergraduate and graduate education in the United States of America. Liberia was founded by freed American slaves in 1822. The country's history is fascinating. It starts with the desire to repatriate freed slaves from the United States.
The book is one man's painful journey into the political and economic history of Liberia. The title, Rich Land-Poor Country, The "Paradox of Poverty" in Liberia is purposefully controversial. I seek to understand why a country so rich in natural resources is at the near bottom in all poverty indices.
My fund raising is for 30 days as I desire to publish the book by the middle of January.
