Emily's cancer
Donation protected
Hi! My name is Emily and I’m 42 years young. I have a loving husband, 2 beautiful, amazing daughters, and a chihuahua named Sully. I also have lots of supportive family and friends. I was diagnosed with vulvar cancer 3 years ago. This is a very rare cancer for someone my age. I have named my cancer “Ethel" lol!! After radiation and several surgeries locally, I sought a second opinion with the Cancer Treatment Centers of America in Chicago, IL. Without CTCA, I’m certain I would not be here today. My humor and sunny disposition have always gotten me through tough times but I can no longer work and the financial stress has become burdensome. The medical copays and travel expenses are mounting due to my trips to Chicago every 3 weeks for chemotherapy. My oncologist scheduled me for 18 chemotherapy treatments. I am currently on my 6th treatment. This also includes a CT scan after every 3rd treatment. My last scan did show that the tumor is slowly shrinking and the chemo is working!! :). That was the best news I had heard in a long time. I am in the fight of my life and will continue this fight with your support. Thank you very much for reading my story.
