Help Goma, D.R. Congo Volcano Victims

We would like to express deep gratitude for all who have financially contributed to support the victims of the Goma volcano. Your support has made a major and positive impact. Because of your financial help, two hundred affected families from diverse backgrounds have been served through Green Mountain Aid (GMA), a social service department of Eglise Pentecoste Sainte Montagne. Each family received a 25kg bag of corn and a 12.5kg bag of beans. This food is saving lives. After the distribution, the disaster victims were delighted with the gesture made by GMA and thanked the donors. They are requesting that help continues because the needs are still enormous in terms of food and other basic needs. Thousands of people are still deprived of drinking water, food, medicine and housing since the volcanic eruption of last June. GMA feels even more saddened by another disaster. A fire ravaged more than 100 houses on Friday, August 6, 2021 in Bukavu, South Kivu in the Luziba district. In addition to continued support for the victims of the volcanic eruption, we will now also extend support to the fire victims as this new disaster has produced the same consequences as the Goma volcano. Our goal is to continue to support these victims on a monthly basis until they reach more stability. Please give what you can. Even small amounts make a large effect.
