As many of you know I suffered a pulmonary embolism on January 15th. Were it not for Megan and my grandson Owen’s quick actions the results would have been much different.
I coded 9 times but after care flight, the skills of many, thousands upon thousands of prayers and six broken ribs, I am alive. A miracle some would say. No heart damage, no brain damage, no permanent physical damage. The road ahead is long and as of right now a little cloudy but with perseverance we will emerge stronger and closer.
SO many people played a role in saving my life and we will FOREVER be grateful for those people. There is an army behind us.
We are currently awaiting in hospital rehab facility care approval and acceptance.
Lots and lots of people have asked what they can do to help….hence this account. It is being created to help relieve the stress of the financial burden on both Megan and myself. We do not know what the future holds when I get home. I have good insurance but coverage for short term and long term disability begins to drop after 7 weeks so bills will become an issue at some point. Megan has not been able to work since the day of the event and has two boys to take care of. In home adjustments to accommodate shower safety etc. are highly likely. I would appreciate any help whether financial support, sharing our story or just simply praying.
Thank you all for your support and love. We can never begin to express how much it means to us.
