During the Paulding Meadows Arts Festival, a storm came and a large tree branch struck Claudia in the head. It was a very large tree and she is a small 12 year old girl. She lost a lot of blood. She has had a blood transfusion, she has a fractured skull, bruised lung, broken rib, and she’s currently on a breathing tube and sedated until further notice to manage pain. She has been transferred to CHOA and she will have a long recovery. Claudia is a straight A honor student, chorus member, joyful and funny, and has amazing character. She is so strong and she comes from a praying family that believes in the healing power of Jesus. We appreciate all of the ongoing prayers and support for Claudia’s recovery. Her parents are staying with her around the clock until further notice and we won’t know more about recovery until they are able to safely wake her up and evaluate further.

This fundraiser was organized by Claudia’s family and funds will be sent to Charlena Bacon and Ty Bacon, Claudia’s parents to support medical expenses and ongoing recovery. Claudia’s parents will also be missing work to help support her recovery and these funds will help relieve that stress during this time.
