Our dear friend Denise Mowat has been bravely battling cancer for over a decade. She is now facing major, life-altering surgery and a long recovery of at least six months.

Denise is one of the most caring, generous people you could ever meet. For more than 30 years, she worked as a Youth Counsellor, supporting hundreds of young people in crisis and helping them find hope and direction. She is always the first to show up for others – friends, family, neighbours, or strangers – with a meal, a ride, a listening ear, or whatever is needed.

Now, she is the one who needs help.

During her recovery, Denise will be unable to work for 6+ months. At the same time, her expenses will increase. She will need:

RN and PSW support

Help with cleaning and home maintenance

Snow removal

Medical supplies and other out-of-pocket costs

We are hoping to raise funds to help lighten her financial burden so she can focus on healing, not on worrying about bills.
