Recovering from Harvey
Roger and Paula Smith or Bompa and Nana as they are called by their grandkids and great grandkids. Are living their golden years in Rockport, Texas on a fixed income like most retirees. Over the weekend as the threat of hurricane Harvey increased they made the decision to evacuate before the storm hit. They packed a single suitcase and the two paintings done by Paula's brother before he passed. They like most did not foresee the true devastation this storm would bring and were not prepared to discover that their home was blown off the foundation and laying on its side in 3 feet of water. The area is bracing for more rain and flooding in the days following the storm. Any help that is offered to help them rebuild and start enjoying the golden years again is greatly appreciated even if all that can be offered is thoughts and prayers.
