Fight for Bobby!

As many of you know, Bob Forgacs has been in a serious accident. On Wednesday January 25th he fell from approximately 20’ while at work. He was helicoptered to St Mary (“Agnes”) Hospital in Grand Junction where he’s in a medically induced coma. He’s sustained numerous rib and facial fractures, a severe liver laceration but most concerning, a massive brain bleed. It’s possible (please God NO!!!) he won’t survive this. His children, with the encouragement of his hockey team - the Money Shots - have started this campaign to raise money mainly for his medical expenses but to also assist the immediate family in being by his side while he (fingers crossed so tightly) recovers. We’re all ‘strapping in for the long haul,' or preparing for a hockey game with all the OT periods, if you like that analogy better. This is an extraordinarily complicated and fluid situation but we've got some good things on our side. He's responding to simple commands (thumbs up, nod head, squeeze hand, wiggle toes etc), he moves all extremities, his vitals/labs/and pressures within his brain are PERFECT! Plus, he's truly one of the toughest and most stubborn people there ever was.

As a family, we’re deeply moved with the outpouring of love, prayers and offers of assistance we’ve received thus far. Regardless of any financial contribution, please keep the prayers coming; snack on a few extra cookies or peanut M&Ms; and love on your doggies a little bit extra on behalf of a man who loves sweets, dogs and life the most.
