Hello,
My name is Kenneth Q. Austin and I am an uprising fourth year independent student at Morehouse College studying Sociology, with a minor in Criminal Justice.
I was born into a family of struggle and financial instability in Trenton, New Jersey. Although the trials and tribulation of growing up in an urban area with limited support remained constant, I never let those circumstances cast me into societal stereotypes or impede my progress.
During high school I was an academic scholar and a social change agent for my community. I was very active in community service and stayed out of trouble. I entered Morehouse College in Fall 2010 majoring in Sociology with a minor in Criminal Justice. There, I have continued to be an active advocate with involvement in many organizations and student run events.
In September 2013, my dream of becoming a college graduate was delayed due to my inability to satisfy my account balance. Due to financial issues beyond my control, I could not enroll as a senior but instead returned home and obtained seasonal employment.
I will not allow this obstacle to prevent me from returning to school. Therefore, I am extending this invitation for help to get back to school and finish what I started. I know I cannot do it alone so I am reaching out to my village, community and anyone for help. Every donation is greatly appreciated. Please do not hesitate to share this link with others: every possibility is a blessing.
I strive to be a positive statistic versus a negative and I know that through my faith and your support my quest will be fulfilled.
Thank you in advance for your consideration and assistance.
Kenneth
