Hi everyone, our names are Amanda and Daniella, cousins of Mike, hoping to get his story out there in hopes of providing any help we can.
In the early morning of September 24th, after celebrating his first hole-in-one on a golf trip in Wisconsin, Mikes life was senselessly taken during a drive by shooting. The investigation is still on going and Authorities are doing their best to catch the monster that took his life. We are hopeful and will update as more information comes forward.
As difficult as this is to write, we want everyone to know about the beautiful soul that was Giovanni Michael Robinson. Our Precious "Mike".
Born 32 Years ago, Mike took the world by storm, taking every goal and smashing it with all he had. Mike dedicated a lot of his life to Hockey, there was no denying his love for the game and everything that came with it. From his first skate, to his time in the OHL and even his time in Germany playing for the Hannover Scorpions, hockey was everything. Despite spending so much of his time playing hockey, Mike never forgot about his Family and friends. He was a true family man, always making sure to spend every spare second that he could with them. Even when he couldn't be around physically, he would make sure he was there through FaceTime to be part of every event and gathering. Nothing filled a room like his smile and quick wit.
Mike was a lot of things and held a lot of titles. Husband, Son, Brother, Nephew, Cousin, and friend. He met his Beautiful Wife Rachel in 2017. They shared years of traveling together and making amazing memories. Always hand in hand, their love for each other was never left unsaid and always felt by everyone that had the pleasure to be around them. They got Married in 2022 and just recently embarked on their biggest adventure, becoming parents. Mikes most prized title yet … “FATHER”. Just 6 short weeks ago Mike and Rachel welcomed their first child, Farrah Margaret Robinson. Mike was so excited to become a Father, constantly asking family and friends questions and looking for advice to prepare so that he would be ready. He was the proudest when Farrah arrived, showing her off with the biggest smile you could ever imagine. He dove right into his new role of “Dad” and was a natural, just like we all knew he would be. It is the most heartbreaking to know he will never be able to hold his baby girl again.
We have set up this Go Fund me in hopes to support Rachel, Farrah and the Robinson family during this unimaginably tragic and difficult time. We hope this will help ease any financial burden that may come their way as well as support Farrah as she grows up and navigates life without her Father. Please keep the Robinson family in your thoughts and prayers as they try to navigate this new normal.
Thank you in advance.
